AIIMS New Delhi has scheduled INI-CET for the January 2027 session on Sunday, 1 November 2026. Admit cards are due on 26 October, the result is expected on 7 November 2026, and courses start on 1 January 2027.
INI-CET fills MD, MS, MDS, DM (6-year), MCh (6-year) and MD (Hospital Administration) seats at the participating Institutes of National Importance, such as the AIIMS institutions, JIPMER, PGIMER, NIMHANS and SCTIMST.
What INI-CET January 2027 tests
- A computer-based test of 200 questions in 3 hours.
- 1 mark for a correct answer, minus 1/3 for a wrong one, and 0 for questions left unanswered or marked for review.
- Questions include single-correct and multiple-correct types.
- The paper comes in four blocks of 50 questions with 45 minutes each. You can only see and answer the active block, and once its time is up you can't go back to it.

More than 3 weeks left
Finish your last full pass of high-yield subjects and take a full 200-question test every week, set up as four separately timed 45-minute blocks.
8–21 days left
Take two or three block-format tests a week. Train the habit the format demands: finish your reviews inside each 45-minute block, because a block you leave is gone for good.
With minus 1/3 per wrong answer, track how many marks each test loses to wrong answers and which subjects they come from.
2–7 days left
Stop full tests after mid-week. Revise from your own notes and the questions you got wrong in tests.
Download the admit card once it's up on 26 October, and check the centre's location and reporting time.
Exam eve and exam day
Light revision only, and an early night. On the day, pace each block on its own clock: about 54 seconds a question if you spread 45 minutes evenly over 50.

INI-CET January 2027 exam kab hai?
On Sunday, 1 November 2026, according to AIIMS. Admit cards are due on 26 October and the result is expected on 7 November 2026.
What is the negative marking in INI-CET?
One-third of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. A correct answer earns 1 mark, and unanswered or marked-for-review questions score 0.
Can I go back to earlier questions in INI-CET?
Only within the block you're in. The 200 questions come in four blocks of 50 with 45 minutes each, and once a block's time ends you move on and can't return to it.
Is INI-CET the same as NEET PG?
No. INI-CET is conducted by AIIMS New Delhi for PG seats at the participating Institutes of National Importance; NEET PG is a separate exam for other PG seats.
